Over the summer my food got sloppy and there was too much wine. I feel the extra girth around my mid section and I don’t like it.
I don’t believe in diets or food plans. In my opinion, they just set people up for eventual failure. I believe in moderation – the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time, make healthy food choices. 20% of the time is “life”.
I also believe in making small changes one day at a time (sometimes even one meal at a time). This is a slow and gradual approach to change. With time, consistency and patience, you will see results.
And those results have a much greater chance of being long lasting than the “quick fix”. So how will I get back on track?
I’m going to get back into completing my food logs. When I have to write it down and acknowledge my actions, I’m less likely to make poor choices. Join me. Start writing down what you eat (and drink if you want to) for meals and snacks. You’ll start to see where you can make small changes. And, then make one change at a time.
Practice that change till it becomes routine for you. Then move onto the next change. I promise you it will work.
If you’d like more information on how I can help you make some changes to your food, call me or email me or DM me! I’d love to chat with you!
